While the last winter sports guests are still carving down the ski slopes, the snow at the valley floor is already giving way to emerald green. Everywhere, buds are sprouting and unfolding into soft pastel shades during the spring blossom season in the Ahrntal Valley. Enjoy nature awakening on our alpine meadows – now walkable again without snowshoes – along the idyllic lowlands of the Ahr River, through our fragrant coniferous forests, or during an early summit tour.

What begins with a tender green soon turns into a lavish celebration of blossoms wherever the spring sun touches the land. Pale white and purple crocuses turn your spring hike into a picturesque symphony of the senses. You can revel in this sea of colour, relax with a refreshing drink on one of the sunny hut terraces, breathe in the pure mountain air, and feel that you’re in the right place at the right time. Meanwhile, the glacier-covered peaks of the Zillertal Alps create a majestic backdrop for your springtime impressions.

Spring in the Ahrntal Valley is a peaceful time of transition, offering you the chance to enjoy a wide variety of holiday activities: a day on the slopes in Klausberg, perhaps a relaxed springtime hike along the Ahr the next day, followed by a mountain bike tour to the head of the valley – there’s so much to experience. Join the lively Snow Festival at Speikboden, spend your Easter holidays here, attend the Klausberg Open Air or the Knights’ Festival in May. Spring may arrive a little later in the Ahrntal Valley than elsewhere, but it brings an abundance of memorable attractions!
