Idyllic Snowshoe Hikes Starting at the Farm
Thanks to regular snow clearance, our farm remains easily accessible even in winter. And the many options in the immediate surroundings will awaken your desire for carefree fun in the snow: when fresh snow covers the farm, your children can build snowmen, go sledging and enjoy cheerful snowball fights. We are happy to lend you sledges, bobsleds, snow sliders and snowshoes – for the snow right in front of the house as well as for your outings in the area. Want to set off on a delightful winter walk? You can do that right from our doorstep. From the very first day of your holiday, our wonderful location connects you with the winter magic of the Ahrntal Valley. We also gladly recommend the tour to the idyllic Waldnersee at 2,300 metres above sea level, with magnificent views of the Rieserferner mountain group. Wet hiking boots dry quickly afterwards in our room with a modern boot drying system.
A Tempting Variety of Winter Sports Options
The Klausberg and Speikboden ski resorts are only a few minutes away by car. Depending on snow conditions, you'll find perfect skiing and snowboarding there well into spring. For our guests, we’ve rented a heated ski depot at Klausberg. That way, you can travel comfortably by ski bus without any luggage. And your winter holiday in the Ahrntal Valley also offers plenty of variety off the slopes: a torchlit ski descent, ice climbing, a visit to the ice stock rink with friends or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride are all part of the holiday region's programme, offered by local providers and depending on the season, the weather and snow conditions.
