Voppichlhof is a working mountain farm – and you get to experience it up close. Our small animals may be fed and petted at any time, and children are free to move about the farm, with you as their parents keeping an eye on them. Our cows and calves in the cowshed are a different matter: we always go in together, and only if you let us know beforehand. Children never go into the cowshed on their own – these are big animals, and a little caution is needed. You’ll also find plenty of amenities to enjoy all year round:

The playground, the play lawn and our play and reading room are open to you at all times – we love having your children around the farm.

When the farm work allows

These aren’t fixed services – they happen when there’s time for them and you’ve let us know beforehand. Then we’re happy to show you around the farm with its chapel, the farm museum with its old tools and equipment and the newly restored, heritage-protected mill, and to give you an insight into farming culture, local traditions and our daily work. And every now and then the farmer’s wife invites you on a herbal hike; afterwards we make herb salts together for you to take home as a souvenir. We’re always glad when it works out.
